With the 2nd BassAttack tournament recently finished it, s time to get a gameplan together, for what could be the hardest event of the season. While not as big as our countrys northen lakes, this in not a small chain either. This chain has hot spots all ovet, yet they are spread out to the point that you could possibly run out of gas searching. The Harris chain has swallowed its share of boats and is also home to some of the largest alligators in Florida. Its split pea soup colored waters hold vast numbers of large fish and challenges. For starters, the expanse of these lakes can cause numerous problems that vary, from the aforementioned gas issue, to a subtle breeze across 15 miles of water creating 3-4 foot waves. And on occasion, more frequent than most would think, fish stealing alligators. But this chain has a lot of redeeming attributes. The abundance of structure options and cover. No matter your favorite technique, it will challenge your skill, but also reward it. I hate to stop writing, but more pressing matter have come to hand. I will resume later tjis evening or tomorrow.
