Bass Bite on Clark's Hill

Clark's Hill Lake has toughened up a little bit as the water hovers around the 85 degree mark. The lake is down about 2 feet and the Corp. plan on keeping it close to full as the Savannah River Chain of lakes are all close to full. One day tournaments are still taking 17-18 pounds to win which is down some from a couple of weeks ago when you had to have 20+ to win. Some anglers are working Buzzbaits all day. A Cyclone 3.8 oz. Classic Buzz Bait in White or a 1/2 oz. Cyclone Bow Bend are good choices at least until the sun get high and the shadows are gone. When the sun gets high move out to the off shore humps that have grass and rocks on them. Make one quick loop, no bites...move on. Now alot wins are coming on points that have brush on the sides. Park your boat in 15-20' and throw across the points and down the sides. When you feel brush or rock set up for a strike. Don't commit to points unless you get some bites in a reasonable amount of time, move on to the next point. Great choice for either the humps or points is the new 1/2 oz. Cyclone Shaky Head. Match this up with a V&M Mag Finesse and this is the real deal..Tight Lines...MC2
