Great customer service

I know it's not your typical NPS read, but I felt I needed to mention it. If you own a boat, car, or any vehicle for that matter, you will encounter this at one point or another......dead batteries. The type of dead I am referring to is will not charge or holds only a surface charge, maybe a bad cell. In my case, which is not typical by any sense, I had two Interstate Batteries, each with a faulty cell. They also happened to be 3 weeks out of warranty when I was finally able to speak to a dealer who knew what they were doing. Problem solved......not even close. The Interstate dealer was supposed to do a full gamut of tests to determine what was wrong with my batteries, instead he did more of an auto parts store " yer voltage is good and amps are good, I recommend ya just buy two new (other brand) batteries ". I made a phone call to Interstate, and miraculously got in contact with one of the owners, her name is Brenita. I explained my precarious situation and explained what her "exclusive contract" dealer did by trying to sell me into a different brand of battery. Little did I know she had been paying close attention to this dealer already and my call was the icing on the cake for her. We agreed upon a solution that in my eyes benefited me, as I was not only upgraded to the next class size of battery, but also to the professional battery. It took a little work on my end, running here then there, but Brenita had two batteries delivered to me within 18hrs of my first contact with her. I'm not going to knock other brands, because I'm sure they work for you, but I will say that on a customer service level, I doubt they could come close to Interstate Batteries. I have been a customer for many years, and with this act, will remain one as long as they are in business. If you are looking to replace your old or close to dead batteries, I would recommend looking to Interstate for your needs. Brenita, thank you for the fast resolution and commitment to customer service. Until next time, tight lines.

Gord Thanks for reading and I'm glad they took care of you too. I did find out later that one of my cells was bad and the other battery was carrying the load. I don't think the non outdoors populous realizes just how much we rely on all of our gear/equipment. Our lakes are rather small, so I can only imagine how much worse it can get up north.

Steve, I had a great experience with Interstate Batteries here in the Maritimes, when my Optima failed to take and hold a charge this spring. They replaced the little over 2 yr old battery after testing and finding a dead cell.
