Flooded Ditches

With the rain we had in the Fargo/Moorhead area I decided to hit a flooded ditch along the Red River. I started pitching a jig and white twister tail into a concrete culvert with little success. I then changed it up after noticing bait fish getting chased up into the weeds so I put on a 4inch Walleye Assassin and started working the weeds/grass almost like you would a while fishing for bass. Ended up with my 3 fish limit out of the weeds. Goes to show you paying attention to your surroundings can pay off!
