Back At It

After checking nine ponds for safe ice, only three were good enough for my buddies and I. The first two were a bust but around noon we finally landed on some fish. It took us a bit to dial in a pattern, but orange and white were the colors they wanted. While we tore apart a new body of water, we picked at some nice yellow perch and crappie. The day ended a bit before sunset to ensure a safe exit. Can't wait to get back out!

I'll go on 3" depending on it's quality and what it sounds like. Also, depends on how well I know the body of water.

Not this guy. I'm excited to get out but I like a little thicker ice.

Dylan what do you consider a safe amount of ice to be comfortable?
