Go with your gut feeling!

We all can relate to having this feeling. It's tournament morning your sitting in the boat waiting to blast off and you start thinking about where you want to start off the morning. You found a few good spots that hold fish but you have these two spots that really stick out. One has numbers with a few big fish and the other spot has solid big fish but low in numbers, Maybe just enough for a limit. So you can either go after the big fish first or fish the numbers spot, try and catch a decent limit then go cull at your big fish spot. This is when you get that feeling in your gut and you start asking your self "man what do I do" or " where do I start." Go with your gut feeling! never second guess yourself. Look at Randy Howell, he won th 2014 Bassmaster Classic on Lake Guntersville. On the final day of the classic he was running to a spot where he new he could catch them maybe even catch a winning limit there, but at the same time his gut was telling him to turn around and fish the bridge, and from there he went on fishing his way to a come back win. He went from 11th place to being crowned world champion. Why? Because he went with his gut feeling. So next time your sitting in your boat with that "gut feeling", go for it, you may like the results. Thanks for reading!

Great read! I also think the more time you spend on the water the more your can learn to trust that gut feeling. I have fished with many guys who have a gut feeling but not a lot to back up that feeling. Randy Howell is definitely a great example!

I find even when I have a designed plan on any given day I hit the water no matter how much research I do my gut starts talking to me and then I feel like I have to take gut instinct into account as well as my plan and make it work with both. Unless of course my guts tellin me its hungry haha
