Dose color really matter?

Dose color really matter when it comes to frog fishing? If you go to any fishing store you'll see tons of different color frogs. A lot of them to me is eye candy, they have these great looking colors to draw customers in and make them buy it because it looks awesome. We all fall into that category, including me. But do you really need to throw a black, red, green and yellow colored frog? When a bass looks up at the surface he's not going to really see any color, he's just gonna see a dark shadow. So why not just throw a black frog? Most of my best frog fish were caught using the Midnight Walker Bronzeye 65 and Midnight Walker Bronzeye Pop by Spro, whether it was sunny, cloudy, staind or clear water I always had great results. I think (again this is my opinion) that dark colored frogs perform better than frogs with brite colors. Now I'm not saying you won't catch anything on a colored frog, but I don't see a reason to throw a "pretty colored" frog when all they see is a dark shadow. As you see in the picture above I own almost every color Bronzeye 65 and Bronzeye Pop Spro makes and yes, I've caught fish on all of them. But I fined that the darker colored frogs work best for me in any condition. Or dose it not make a difference? I want to hear your guys opinion on frog colors. What colors do you use or like and why? Feel free to comment and share your opinion!

I too have had success with brighter colored frogs, but more often than not, I will have a frog that looks similar to the ones swimming around. This is a great topic as most of the color/pattern is on the back, out of the water with the main exception being the rubber strands.

I agree, I think "matching the hatch" is as important for spin/casting as it is for fly fishing. When the "Hatch" is a black silhouette, like a leech or a black frog, it doesn't get any more natural and instinct inducing.
