Giving back to the community
Guys this is a long long winter....I'm going crazy. Luckily it's been a busy offseason. After some discussion about doing something for the kids in our area, my friend Chris Flint who fishes FLW/Opens came up with this idea of running a sort of "bass university" for the kids. So...we finally put the idea together. March 21 we will be holding the event "Bass Tactics School" free of charge to youth and junior anglers in my hometown. We will be discussing a variety of topics, like finding fish, fish care, how to dropshot, tips/tricks, a few hands on activities etc. Should be an exciting thing. This is the first time we have done something like this so it will be a learning experience but should be fun I think! Fingers crossed for success! I'll have pictures and a full report after the event!

Awesome, love seeing anglers and pros giving back to the kids. I dream about one day starting a non profit organization to take less fortunate and at risk youth fishing as well as teach them about conservation and caring for out lakes and the wildlife that inhibat them.
Keep up the good work.

Great idea. Just remember kids can get bored easily. Try to keep them as busy as possible. I hope everything goes great.
