St. Lawrence - Hardwater
Had no intention on doing so but decided to run out to the St. Lawrence River today to hit the hard water for some icefishing. Air temp was around 26 degrees F and it was cloudy with a bit of snow as the day progressed. The bite was extremely slow as I passed numerous anglers on my way out to a spot and each and everyone said they had caught nothing. After setting up our tipups and drilling a few holes to jig for walleye all we managed to pull off was a few Northern Pike. Better than nothing for sure but without a doubt, not one of the most productive St. Lawrence River days. It's going to be a long time until spring. Ice is over 2 ft deep!
