Fished for a couple hours last night with my tournament partner at his home lake. Water conditions were suboptimal. Water temperature was anywhere from 49*f-51*f with a slight ding color to the water with visibility being around 2 feet. We consistently marked fish in the 7-11 foot range but struggled to get any biters. We did manage a few small fish once we found a shad die off. The fish we did manage came on a medium jerkbait over 7 fow. The jerkbaits used had almost an Ayu color to them but somewhat of a ghost appearance. In hindsight we should have switched colors but we were running out of daylight quick. We are experiencing quite frequent weather changes here in southern Ohio so it is definitely affecting the fishing with ever changing conditions. We are hoping for the weather to stabilized soon as tournament season starts on April 7th. No pictures to show as the fish were very small we managed. Contact me with any questions regarding fishing or the current conditions we are facing here in SW Ohio.
