FLW college open on Kentucky Lake

On the weekend on March 20th and 21st my brother and I were fishing the FLW College Open on Kentucky Lake representing Bemidji State University. This was the first time we had to put the No.8 Tackle Co. Blackout rods to the test. They performed flawlessly while using everything from an A-rig to jerkbaits to tiny finesse jigs. At the end of the day we knew two things that we could count on, one being that we could always rely on our equipment and the other being we put it all out on the water. After the tournament was all said and done we ended up taking 20th out of 201 boats. We were both pleased with that. Without the confidence we had in our rods for throwing an A-rig all day i don't think we could have finished as well as we did.
