South Padre Island Report 04/15

Fishing has been great this first half of the month. Redfish have been up on the shallows eating anything you can get in front of them, I like DOA Shrimp in glow/gold or glow. Trout have been on channel edges on live shrimp with a popping cork. We have been on some blue water fish offshore this past week. We have caught 6 ling,20 big jacks, and lost two mahi mahi all well within 5 miles of the beach. The daiwa rods and reels have had a work out! And the Penn conflict 4000 is taken a lickin and keeps on kicking with those big jacks.
