Lake Skinner

Decided to fish late yesterday had some things to do in the morning. Arrived at the lake about 1:30. On a sunday the lake was packed of course this time of year. Skinner is a small lake with monster bass in it. Its getting alot more pressure now that diamond valley lake is closed for boating right now. When I got on the water there were boats everywhere and they where all fishing the bank and what Tully's are left. I decided to go to a wind blown cove and start fishing out a little deeper on a secondary point. I noticed some patches of taller grass. Busted out the lunker stick bait pitched it around the outside edge got bit set the hook then a nine pounder comes flying out and spit the hook. That was a bummer but the good thing was I was on a good pattern stuck with it and pulled some nice fish still.
