Using soft plastics
Fishing or bass with soft plastics is harder than just tossing out a crankbait and constantly winding and winding with an occasional jerk, with soft plastics there are multiple different ways to fish multiple different types of soft plastics, some examples are a lizard, finesse worm, senko, frog, swimbaits, etc.,
If you were to use a lizard you would want to be fishing in a fairly rocky area or a slight drop off where bass can lurk below for an unsuspecting lizard to fall off of the rock and chow down. How to rig: use a arrowhead sinker and a ize 2/O offset shank worm hooks with 8 lb test.
Using a Senko: straight fluorocarbon, Offset shank worm hook cast into deep cover: lily pads, weeds, grass, logs
While I was at Lake Mead I found that most of the bigger LargeMouth Bass were deep in the back of coves in heavy cover where there was no wind, where the bass should see if anything hits the surface. And the Smallmouth were out on rocky points and underwater boulders.
Best Colors: Straight Black, Smoke and purple flake,
