Fishing the Great Lakes

With the wind direction and speed changing every day most of you who fish the great lakes sit at home looking at the forecast wondering wether or not to get out and do some trolling or casting. There's a mobile app for your Iphone and Android that a friend of mine told me about that will help plan your big water trip. Surfing Lakes is powered by NOAA.and has many different functions from surface water temp to a wave forecast. With the amount of trolling I do on Lake Michigan out of a small boat, if I feel the wind switch I'll pull out my phone and look to see if the waves are projected to start kicking up. This app has more than once saved my butt from getting caught in 5' waves. Surfing Lakes covers all of the great lakes and is a must have if your going to go out.
