Leech Lake Walleyes

What a start to the walleye season here on Leech Lake! People everywhere are getting in on some of the best walleye fishing that this lake has ever seen! With the slot at 20-26, 1 over 26, and being able to keep 4 fish, it has drawn people from all over to come and check out this great fishery. The best bite seems to be in 12-15 during the day and 6-12 ft in the evenings. Perch or Chartreuse colored jig heads tipped with a shiner seems to be the ticket. Lindy rigs with leeches and spinners crawlers seem to be working just as good.
