Just Fishing with BIG Jim

I just read the Summer edition of JUST FISHING. What a great arcticle on BIG Jim McLaughlin. If you have never had the pleasure of meeting Jim, it gives you some insight as to why we all respect him so much. I was the only 15 yr old angler when I started tourneys and was very intimidated by the age and experience all had over me, Yet Big Jim and some other big names like the Izumis and Rocky Crawford kinda took me under their wing which definiatly helped me build confidence that I could compete . There was many times at tourneys and sportsman shows where Jim would take time to talk to me and give advice on what to do with this industry. Many of us were heart broken when Jim was ill , and in turn never happier when he recovered. There he was this opener at the Quinte Basschamps in Belleville after a prior engadgement in the Ottawa area. The man never stops ! We have been graced with Jim showing up every year at our Bowmanville Tackle swap. all the way from Ottawa and back in a day . There isn't many out there with that kind of dedication to this sport and its people Jim, you rock !
