Sask River

With the long hot days beating down on Saskatchewan, the River fishing has been starting to slow. The River has exploded with life as the minnows continue to hatch. Fish have been congregating in feeding areas and not moving too far, if you find the right hole you might be in for a good day. The key to my success as of late has been the switch to Night Crawlers as bait as they are out fishing minnows by a long shot. Half the battle right now is locating these feeding holes. Try working a shoreline by casting and letting your bait sit for 10-15 minutes, If you don't get a bite recast to another area. Sooner or later you will find them stacked. Good luck anglers
