St. Lawrence Report

The bite on the St. Lawrence has been really really tough the last week. The fish have not transitioned like they normally do by now to summer holding areas. Very scattered and tough to pinpoint. One day they won't tough the dropshot and want the baits tight the bottom, the next they want them up off the bottom and I can only get them on the dropshot. It's been a strange year. Don't know if the tough winter has then "off" but water temps on most of the river are still in the upper 60's which is low for this time of year. Fish are still on beds....normally by now I'm snagging them 30+ ft. It's an interesting year for sure. Did manage to get a few decent ones today but it took all day to get them. Making you work harder that's for sure. Tight lines! Did manage a few decent ones but it took all day. Caught this guy on an XZone Slammer.

Hey Jay.....well I still have a ton of slammers left but I alternate between slammers, yamamoto shad shape, Jackall Crosstail and GaJo Baits.
