Big Bass Smash

Last week I managed to get out a couple of times. While having a few cold ones with my buddy, he asked me if I could take his young lad out before the end of the summer. So off to Canal we went. The fishing was a little slow and the wind was very high. We didn't get as many as I had hoped for but we did get some good ones. It was nice to get a young lad out who is so into fishing. I was impressed with his skill. He's going to be one to watch for in the future. A few days later I got off work a little early. So I called home and told my young lad tk get ready. Off to Scugog. Now I know that as of late Scugog has been putting out some giant small mouth. I made the decision that I was going to get some of these hogs. I picked up another buddy and away we went. The first two spots we caught nothing. We went down a stretch of docks and got a few buckets. We started to fish a sand flat with several rock clumps. It was on. I was throwing a jek bait when the first monster hit. I was using 10 lbs test line so I had quite a good fight. Only a few minutes later I tossed a Lunker hunt revealer tube up by a rock cluster and another monster small jaw cranks it. The best fish this year by far for me. Can't wait to get out again.
