Muskies on the run!

Clear Lake Iowa is one of Iowas Top Muskie destinations. The Iowa DNR needs the credit on this because they have a very heavy stocking program for Skis. It's amazing what I read about Minnesota lakes and how the Muskies are the worst thing for them. I couldn't disagree more and Clear Lake is proof that both Walleyes and Muskies can thrive in the same body of water. The Clear Lake Muskie program is pretty intense and it begins with stocking nearly 600 Skis every other year which are around a foot long. The DNR also stocks thousands of 6 to 7 inch Walleyes that are teamed up with millions of fry and fingerlings. I'm not sure what could be done to fix some of the Minnesota Lakes but lakes cycle and people need to realize that they won't be totally awesome every year and that's ok. Mother Nature will take its course. Anglers also need to take the blame on some of these lakes because when the bite is hot we all go there.
