In the late 1980's The G Loomis Rod company developed an incredibly light form of graphite that was to revolutionize fishing rod performance as we knew it. They called this new material IMX! For more than 20 years, the IMX steelhead rods remained the lightest most responsive river fishing tools on the planet. This February, the river fishing community has been rocked with the fabulous re-introduction of 3 new IMX models! For the traditional float fisher, the classic 1562, a 13ft 2 piece model that flexes into a perfect "C" protecting lighter leaders down to 4lb test. For the bottom bouncer, big float drifter, and lure chucker, the 1363, an 11'4" 2 piece rocket that feels feather light in the hand but has massive power in the bottom end! The latest arrival surprised us all, they crafted an 11'4" FOUR PIECE float /drift model......for the backpacker, trunk-stasher, spare rod toter and after work river sneaker, this is the ultimate stick! It's rated as a 3 power which will allow for nearly all river fishing techniques! Whether you are a centerpin junkie, a bottom skimmer or a lure fanatic, These new rods will certainly earn a spot in your river fishing arsenal!
