Today after work I decide to take the stream side 13 footer out for a walk down on a lower end of a trib to try my luck to see if there were any steelhead were kicking around and oww there were. These fish were fresh from the lake and had no interest in row, flies or worms so it was time to attack with the hardware.
By using small spinners and flat fish I was able to trigger multiple bites and had a blast. The fish were very aggressive in hitting the bait even a few times crushing it at my feet. But unfortunately forgot the camera at home, as I didn’t expect the action to be that excellent.
So here are some of the pictures of the baits that were used, so next time try some small down sized baits for the steelhead it’s a blast.

Awesome Matty, the panther martin line of spinners are also a
favourite of mine for steelhead. Tipped with a trailer fly can also be
a deadly set up for roe shy steel.
