St Marys River Gold again today
St Marys River ON
Jun. 29, 2012 7:22pm

Reel Used: Shotgun 10 by Emery
Rod Used: Streamside 7'6 casting
Line Used: 6 lb Berkley Fuzed Crystal Fireline
Bait Used: 3 oz bottom bouncer with 5 ft Fluoro lead and a 3 inch minnow fry pumpkinseed
Today was a much more successful day for walleye if I were to base it on numbers. 8 walleye were boated today. They were caught many different ways from Cranks to bottom bouncing to Harnesses. They ranged from 16 in to 20 inch. The key today was actually staying in the current and actually slowly moving against it so I could feed the walleye the bait as I dropped back every know and then. My 7'6 Streamside casting rod actually held up with a 3 oz bottom bouncer, current and nice walleye. Great rod without a doubt. Tomorrow I am running a charter so I hope i can get them on nice walleyes.
