The Orillia Fall Challenge

As you know the City of Orillia has been home to the original Fall Challenge for well over a quarter of a century, and was founded by the Orilia Fish and Game Club. Over the years this event has been hosted by GM Pro Bass in the late 80's to the early 90's, by Bass'N'Tario in the mid to late 90's and by the CSFL since the late 90's to date.

In an effort to regrow the field size the event has been reduced to a one day event with a $220.00 entry making it more affordable, with less expense in an effort to reestablish field size possibly growing it back into a two day event in the near future, which can only be made possible with your support.

Andrew Pallotta of the CSFL "The Fall Challenge was the first event I ever competed in, as I remember mentally draining myself just waiting in line to launch my boat, nearly taking me over the top as we lined up for the morning check in and then sitting in silence amongst 150 boats not knowing what to expect next only to be completely blown away when I notice guys putting on helmets, I recall looking over to my cousin not sure he was in any better shape than me thinking what have we gotten ourselves into as I could here the tournament director start to call out numbers, blasting off boats, not knowing what to expect with at least 10 Boats all arounds us all heading towards Couchiching Point I was totally freaked out as we came into the turn with boats all around us and as we approached the 10K I veered to that right like it was intended, only to catch my breath as it was such a huge rush and one that I will never forget as we decided to start our day in a spot we never fished managed to catch around 14 lbs. putting us in the top ten after the first day but more importantly ahead of the Izumi's as the fish where not the only ones to get hooked that day. Andrew goes on to say "I truly hold this event dear to my hart and in making this event a one day was merely one last attempt in trying to keep it alive and truly believe that together we can rebuild this event in making it your memory as well.

The new one day format will continue to be restricted to Lake Couchiching only, with no locking on the north end of the lake and to the Atherly Bridge.
Blast off is scheduled for 8:00 am (conditions permitting) with weigh in at 4:00 pm.

On sight launching and parking available.
Entry Fee is $220 plus HST (optional lunker pool).
On site registration will be available.
To pre-register by Visa or MasterCard please contact the CSFL at 905-640-2277.
