Alvey Reels AL605 Kayak Special

The Model 605 is a 2 piece, 7 ft. medium action rod designed for sit down saltwater fishing in kayaks, canoes and small boats. It has a 6 foregrip and reversed reel seat for holding the rod in front of the reel, as recommended with all Alvey side cast reels. The butt grip is a longer 9 to fit securely in kayak rod holders and, to brace against your body when fighting a fish.The rod blank is thin diameter (14mm at the foregrip), hollow fiberglass with a solid, clear tip for extra strength and durability. It is 10 to 20 lb. test line class rated and, ideal casting weights are 1/2 to 1-1/2 oz. The rod features premium Fuji Alconite line guides and graphite reel seat. Rod wrappings are light Green over a Silver base wrap.The rod is designed to match Alvey Side Cast Reel Models 45BC, 500BCXL and 500C5.
