Finally success on the pond
The Department of fisheries finally removed the max slot size for catch and release on our Chinook salmon. Trolled with a 15-pound ball on the downrigger and at a depth of 180 feet. Using the Amundson outdoors rods, the Amundson TMX 5 mooching reels, the LuckySTrike Bait rubber salmon net, the AP Tackle Herring spoons, Rigrap, and Suffix Monofilament. The weather forecast was 6 knots winds with gusts of 11 knots. We fought the salmon through heavy swells and had a difficult time keeping our balance. One of my buddies held me steady by holding on to me grabbing my belt. Thank goodness for the strong leader and the net. Funny 1/2 hour later the wind calmed.
