Yakima Bait Lil Corky

It's hard enough to catch a steelhead. Its harder to choose out of all lures that are available. Steelhead often on the west coast of British Columbia can be found trailing behind the salmon as they lay their eggs. The current often will flow eggs towards them to snack on. A lot of our rivers now are closed to the use of bait. The Yakima Bait Lil Corky is a perfect representation of various size salmon eggs. I float fish drifting through the current seams with a pencil lead tapping along the bottom and a leader about 18 inches. I use a very small hook #4 and allow the Corky to move freely.
