Atlantic Coast Fishing
The Atlantic coast of North Carolina provides ample fishing for the seasoned fisherman as well as the novice.
Having no experience salt water fishing I was quickly able to learn that many of the techniques used I am all too familiar with fishing on the Great Lakes.
A two arm bottom bouncer rig would be all I needed to get myself into the water to try surf fishing (fishing from the beach).
A few casts in I landed my first fish, a sea mullet, which isn't anything to call home about, but my first ocean catch was exciting to me.
A few days later I went on a charter (I know, I know) to get out for a little deep sea fishing, where I again used techniques similar to fishing for perch on Lake Erie. However, the fish we came across were a little toothier than a lake perch.
Black Sea Bass, Sea Mullet, Pinfish, Spot, and Lizard Fish were all species that I was able to catch during my time on the coast, along with a lot of memories I won't soon forget.
Until next time friends...

Nice looks like fun. Nice work transferring freshwater knowledge into some success in the salt.
