The Musky Secret

The fish of 10,000 casts? Giant bodies of water like Georgian Bay for example, hold world record muskies. There simply is no denying it. BUT, you've got to work your butt off to catch them/find them. Totally worth it but sometimes you need a break from giant hunting to just get some hook sets in. There are some bodies of water, usually much smaller, where muskies thrive and eagerly take many different presentations. Think of pike! know any hammer handle lakes? I bet you do! these are lakes usually connected to larger bodies of water where fish spawn, grow up, and learn the ropes. The same is true of muskies. If you can find an area with VERY LITTLE FISHING PRESSURE where musky are abundant and usually average 5 to 15 pounds then the fish of 10,000 soon becomes the fish of 1-100 casts. Ya, they are growing up in there, but your slaying them! and might even get lucky with a giant! www.hookedyoung.com
