Weather at your fingertips. More Online resources.

Hey folks thank you again for all the support. I am making a steady climb just like I said I would...but it's not with out your support, it's because of it, I will continue to bring quality reports to all of you Pro and AM alike. Weather, most day we can't live with; and others we wish we could change it. But there is a way to prepare for it. We spend a lot of time at our computers, the one thing that I do is look at the weather patterns and trends to determine when it's best to fish. Like for today for instance it's drizzly out and warm in the 13-15 'C range and planning on climbing to around 19'C...we'll see. I know there's a cold front coming in the next couple of days and that may have an effect on my experience fishing. So if I look at this present weather trend I can Saturday would have been a better day to go then today and Tuesday is looking like a start of a warming trend I'll plan for that day to go fishing. Barometric pressure also plays a key role in figuring out weather and fish behavior. When the barometric pressure is low or falling, air is rising, usually resulting in cloudy skies and precipitation. When it's high, weather is typically fair and sunny. These changes in pressure are picked up on by fish using their "lateral line". If you ever noticed your number of catches on a sunny day vs a rainy day you can factor in barometric pressure. Low pressure or crumby weather like us; fish are sluggish and are hard to entice, high pressure and sunny weather we're cheerful and moving around same with fish. Would they call them "sunfish" if you could catch them in the rain...? The internet is a plethora of information but the best is right here on NPS.com, some of my tools I use for weather tracking is "The Weather Network", and "Environment Canada". below is a link for "The Weather Network Apps" page where you can download a weather app right to your desktop on your home PC, or your iPad & iPhone 3G. The other link is to "Environment Canada" where you can find water level reports and watch Radar loops of current weather conditions and systems in your area. Education is power! tThe more you know the better angler you become. Until next time this is me saying to you, where ever you fish, fish on the Offensive. http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weatherapps/ ref=topnav_downloads_weatherapps http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/canada_e.html
