2017 BFL Mountain Division - Lake Cumberland Results

The Lake Cumberland tournament is in the books. I drew a good boater, and we made a monster run past the dam and a short distance into the other lake arm. We targeted smallmouth for the most part. We caught over 20 fish combined, but struggled to find keepers. I finished with 1 keeper spot for 1 lb. 14 oz. My boater partner finished with 2 keepers for 3 lbs. 2 oz. I figured I was destined for an 80th or 90th place finish in the 105 boat field. To my surprise, I finished 64th and jumped from 48th to 28th in the co-angler of the points race. I have a solid spot in the regional with 2 events remaining. If I continue to weigh fish, I will make the regional.....simple as that. 19 lbs. 3 oz. won the boater side with 11 lbs. 5 oz. winning the co-angler top prize. 11 lbs. 10 oz. got the last boater check with 5 lbs. 8 oz. claiming the final co-angler spot in the check line.
