2017 BFL Illini Division at Rend Lake Results

Wow, what a tough event! In 40 hours of practice time and tournament time, I never caught a keeper fish. I am very satisfied with my effort fishing as hard as ever....turning over every stone looking for keepers. I managed a few short fish on tournament day throwing a topwater Crazy Shad prop bait and swimming a homemade 1/4 oz. swim jig. I had a few bites flippin' a variety of soft plastics, but couldn't connect. 46 of the 94 boaters and 77 of the 94 co-anglers blanked! A big congrats to every single angler who managed to put a keeper fish in the boat. You earned it! 10 lbs. 12 oz. took the honors on the boater side. 4 lbs. 3 oz. captured first prize on the co side! Four pounds even got the final check on the boater side with 1 lb. 8 oz. getting paid on the co side. The Illini Division now takes a break until a mid-July event on Smithland Pool on the Ohio River.
