2012 Steelhead Opener

This year I wasn't sure what to expect due to the early heat wave. With the cold weather for a couple of weeks now helped us as fisherman. The fish got what they wanted heat for the spawn and fisherman cold for the fish to stay for opener. I was pleasantly surprized with the amount of fish still available for opener. The numbers the group caught this year was mind blowing. Everything was working for us roe was a big one but pinkies were good. This year I tried beads and it still blows my mind on how good they worked. Next year I'm going to try and use more jigs and flies. Now with weekend is my kickoff for my open water season.
