Divine Appointment

The 2015 season is drawing to close and hopes of a good finish were fading with the Fall light. Having only one tournament left in my Tarrant Christian Bass Club season I was sitting outside the Top 6. With a good year end finish I could vault myself into position to secure a birth to Texas BASS Nation State Tournament. Going into the final club tournament there was something in the air, something I could not explain. I had prepared as I usually do during prefishing and actually having less than desirable practices my hopes of a Top 6 finish were dwindling. On the eve of tournament day I was not feeling so confident but as morning came and I hooked up to the boat and said my prayer asking for guidance and protection something changed. There was an indescribable sense of Victory about me and I just knew the WIN destine to be mine. So what do you do when nothing worked in practice? Well, I scratched it all. I went out without any preconceived notion of where, how, or what I was going to fish. I just went fishing, junk fishing that is, and followed my gut. Throwing everything I had on the deck, I caught fish with almost everything I had on the deck. By the time weigh in came around I had caught my limit and culled up to 13.23 lbs. and took the WIN with Big Bass as well. This victory launched me into the Top 6 of my club and earned me a spot in the Texas BASS Nation State Tournament in February of 2016 on Lake Amistad. I have never before felt so confident having no plan. The only thing I can say is the Good Lord wanted for me to have this experience and He alone is the reason for my achievement. Thank you Lord for blessing me and for all that you do.
