Midwinter Crappies
I am overly excited to put the smack down on these midwinter black crappies! Jig Mania is the only way to go when deciding what jigs to use!

Brad,
When jigging through the ice, presentation is everything. It is best to jig for them in small spurts. It is best to jig in short spurts (sometimes aggressively) to get the attention of the fish, but then to let it sit for a brief moment so the fish does not miss your jig when striking it. Another trick is to raise your jig a few feet then let it settle again to possibly trigger a bite. A vexilar is almost a must when jig fishing through the ice. Besides the rod combo, it is my most valuable piece of equipment.

Garrett I don't do a ton of ice fishing. Do you constantly move the jig for them in small motions or keep it still more often then moving?
