Bruce County Fishing for the 4th year with Robbie

This will be the 4th year I've been taking Robbie out, his family doesn't fish and they travel from Aurora to rent at a cottage in Southampton for 2 or 3 weeks and I try to get him out when I'm not working when their at the cottage, we met when his mother was trying to find somewhere to take Robbie when they were on holiday's to learn how to fish and get out in a boat in the Bruce County area. I picked him up in Southampton and continued to one of the local lakes and this would be his first attempt at using a #Ardentreels Elite baitcaster and a Denny Brauer Rod with braid and a #Blackflylures Spinnerbait, there were lots of hits but the smallies weren't committing, follow up baits were Ned Rig, Tube and a Dropshot, then I started to catch Pike and Smallies on crankbaits so he switched over to a #Ardentreels Apex Elite and a crankbait about the same colour as mine with #Liquidmayhem added to the bait and he caught a few but didn't want to handle them so they were mixed in with mine in the livewell to be released later, I was hoping he'd hold them then but no luck, next time maybe. We had more smaller ones that we didn't take pictures of and both of us had some long distance releases that ended with about 3' jumps out of the water or just barely hooked and didn't make it into the net, it was very hot but we enjoyed a Great Day of Fishing.
