8/12/17 Michiana Casting Couples

What a day. Tournament was to be from 6:30-12:30 however we didn't start until 7 so we fished to 1:00. Beautiful day on the water. Weather kept most pleasure boaters away. Debbie and I started fishing in 15 feet of water on a spot I found a couple days ago. The smallies were there. She put the first 2 keepers in the boat in which we ended up weighing in. We had a limit in 40 minutes and were culling smallies in 45 minutes. We ended up catching 13 keepers on the day. She did a great job today. Thanks to Shimano, G. Loomis, PowerPro and Jackall Lures we fished very clean. We only lost 2 fish on the day. We weighed in 12.14 pounds. However our great day was enjoyed by many others that had phenomenal a day on the water. We finished in 6th place. The top five weighed in over 14 pounds with 6 fish over 4 pounds.
