2017 Regional in the Books
It was a feast or famine sort of regional at Kentucky Lake this past weekend. Anglers either were catching big sacks of bass or struggling to find some keepers. There wasn't much in between. My boater and I caught between 25 and 30 fish on the first day, but struggled to find keepers. He ended up with 4, 15 inchers for just over 7 lbs. I finished Day 1 in 39th place on the co-angler side with 4 lbs. 4 oz. only 1 lb. 10 oz. out of the money. My boater draw for Day 2 was not on much, so we went-for-broke and ledge fished all day. He caught 1 keeper, and we caught just a few short fish. I finished the tournament 68th out of 174. The 2017 BFL tournament season was a fun ride. I am already making plans for 2018!
