Surprise Surprise
With a nice window of weather opening up last week, it didn't take much convincing for me to "shuffle some jobs around" and get amongst some mid week action. The weather turned out to be magic and the current was raging on the inshore reefs. We went to work searching for a topwater bite and after some missed opportunities early, that work paid off later in the day. My good friend Andy scored his PB GT and I also managed a good GT on the pe6 gear. The standout for me though was a jobfish that took a squidgie prawn intended for small snapper. It was a beast of a fight on 16lb leader that left me feeling like I'd won a mini lottery!
