BronzeBack Bassers Team of the Year.....FINALLY!!

After 8 seasons of competing in the BronzeBack Bassers tournament trail Charles Thomas and myself finally won our first Team of The Year title together. We came close several times in years past with several 2nd and 3rd place finishes in TOTY rankings but this season it seemed like everything just fell into place. With 2 wins, a 2nd, a 5th and 6th place finishes we had a great season and once again were able to consistently catch the larger sized fish using various Lunkerhunt baits such as Bentos, Revealer Tubes and wacky rigged Lunkersticks. I also need to mention a special thanks to Lester Hanley of Hanley Marine for supporting me and keeping the my Mercury engine working trouble free all season. Last week on Shortts lake we were confident of getting a top ten finish which would guarantee a TOTY title but Charles and I didn't give any slack and swung for the fences. After culling several times during the day we had about 9.5lbs in the livewells and knew we needed another upgrade to have a chance at the win. Finally it happened, Charles hooked into a nice 2.5 lb smallie on a swim bento which upgraded our limit by another lb. At the end of the day our 5 fish limit weighted 10.65 lbs and was indeed enough for a win and great way to end a great BBB season.
