French River Monster

Top water walkin the dog. And this thing comes up and hammers it. I was like "oh my God". I'm using a Fenwick walleye rod with no leader and 35lb. Braid that's about 6 years old. I was casting to the weed line. Boat in 10 feet of water. Half way to the boat and this fish broaches the water like a whale and my lure disappears. My net is about 18" across and 12" deep. My brother is in the boat with me and grabs the net, takes a swipe at it its head barely fits in the net. But the lure gets caught in the net. And I'm freaking out because I know the fish is as good as gone now!!. I told him to bring it over to the side of the boat where I can reach it. I grabbed it by the gill plate and heaved it into the boat. 49inches. No scale for weight sorry to say. Got a few pics and released it.
