Thanks Shimano

So I bought this Shimano symmetry 2500 a couple years ago and it’s home is on my steel head spinning rod so it doesn’t get a lot of use. After about a dozen trips out with it it was in the bed of a truck in the rain on the way to go fishing and when I was fishing it felt like I was reeling in a boot with just a small lure on. I sent it in for service and they gave me a new reel for the $25 service fee.
