First open water trip of the year

Wicked evening down at Bower with Jonathan Nigel, Carly Williams and the kids. Fishing was slow we BBQ'd and looked for frogs then i keyed in on the loons chasing what seemed to be freshly stocked bows 3 to 5 inches. We downsized out gear and started catching these tiny dudes when all of a sudden im hooked up with a bruiser brown. A couple close calls and boom 24"
