Berkely B1 Prefish
After leaving the NBSFA Championship on Sunday evening, we arrived at Lake St. Francis mid afternoon on Monday. We got out for a few hours of fishing Monday afternoon. We found the fishing tough with only two bites. I caught one small bass and Jon hooked and lost one of the largest bass have ever seen. It would have been nice to land it, but the objective this week is to locate some good calibre bass.
Today, the weather forecast was for rain and we got lots of it. I can handle the rain, but can't stand the wind and we got that two. We started a little slow today, but finally managed to locate and catch some small keeper bass between 2 and 3 lbs. Along the way, Jon hooked and lost a 3' pike and caught a nice walleye. About midday, we finally found some of the fish we came for. Jon caught a 4-4, which I netted and then we took a picture. While Jon was releasing the fish, I made a cast and caught and landed a 4-0. Now to see if we can find a few more tomorrow.
