Blues - Barnegat Inlet - NJ

Mike, a buddy from work, invited me out on his cousin John's boat for a day of fishing on the Barnegat Inlet in NJ. John said the Blues were doing well, so we focused on targeting bluefish!! It was a slow start but boy did we start nailing Blues when the tide changed. John did something that was pretty impressive; at the time he was attempting it I thought he had no chance. John cast a snag rig in a school of bunker and handed me the rod. First of all, I didn't see this school of bunker he kept talking about and then I thought he handed me the rod to reel it in. When I reeled it in it had a fish on it.... I was impressed. What started out as a slow day turned out to be a great day on the water! Thanks John and Mike!
