KTL Day number #1...In the books!!

Well, day one is in the books and it was a very good day with lots of retailers snapping up deals and getting the walls ready for another year. Renewed a ton of once a year friend ships and I have to say that there is a lot of rep's that I really enjoy seeing here once a year after spending time on the phone with them throughout the rest of the year. Saw some interesting stuff today and a few new items that caught my eye. They include the Boomerang Tools line which has an awesome little belt tool THE SNIP, that is a cutter which CUT'S big time..I used it all last year and it NEVER failed to cut braid, flc. or mono the first time every time and even when not under pressure!!! www.Boomerangtool.com Canadian company Freedom Tackle Corp out of Toronto has a unique advanced interchangeable hook design head that is as slick as it comes and the quality is top of the line and allows you to use whatever companies hooks you choose so if you have a sponsor for hooks or just like trying different styles or sizes... it's all good. haven't got to fish them yet, but several high profile fishing buddies have had them wet all fall and are amazed at what they bring to the table. www.freedomlures.com Strike King, Power Pro and Owner Hooks were all rocking and I suspect will be for the next two days!!!! Saw my good buddy Dave Mercer in the Live Target and Trokar Hooks booths and great to see Dave is down an even 100lbs, and told me when we chatted off to the side that he has all sorts of energy and feels like a kid again...Hat's of to you brother!!!!!! Then just before shutting it down for the day a LIFE LONG FRIEND came in for a quick tour and to say Hi to the boy's ...ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN AND ALWAYS A FRIEND regardless of the name on his cap...Mr. Bob Izumi!!! Have a great evening....

Those snips rock! You can't beat them. Used them all last season as well. I have to say I'd be lost without them. If you don't have a pair yet, you really need to get yourself one.

Hi Jim - those new Hydra and Stealth jigs from Freedom Lures are cool! I used them up on Reindeer Lake for pike up to 30 pounds. Very cool concept allowing you to use a custom hook for the job at hand! :
