Hair rig for carp fishing

The knotless knot is the base of carp fishing. This is one of the first rig that you need to know and use when starting to fish for carp. This article explains how to properly tie hair rig with a Knotless knot. Some pictures show you how to use this rig to fix baits such as boilies or pellet. The hair rig, it's a small piece of nylon or braid, called hair, linking the bait to the hook. The bait remains completely free and separated from the hook. The main advantage is to prevent the carp to feel the slightest resistance and the trap when they sucking the bait. It also helps to have a better hook hold as the point of the hook, entirely free, penetrates more easily in his mouth. That way the carp is often hook in the edge of the lips when she tries to spit the bait. The knotless knot is the easiest way to tie the hair rig by joining a hook with the monofilament or braided. 1. We begins by making a loop at the end of braid or monofilament. 2. We pass the other end of the strand in the eye of the hook. 3. We made 5 to 10 turns around the shank of the hook. 4. We return once again into the eye being careful to exit inside the bend of the hook. We tightened and it's ready. The length of the hair depends on the size and the amount of bait that we want to put on it. Allow 1 inch or 1.5 inches. Fix a bait on the hair. 1. Use a baiting needle. 2. We go through the bait. Here a scopex and strawberry boilies. 3. We grab the hair with the needle by his loop and we slide the bait. 4. You stop the bait with a piece of nylon or with a bait stop passed through the loop. 5. The hair rig is ready. Hint: Instead of a baiting needle you can use a jig head on which you have straighten the point.

This is a great step by step.. I know we don't have Carp fishing available here in NB but there is one spot in NS that I know I could use this technique to pull in a few 10lbers...
