First ice 2016/2017

Had a chance to head out to western Minnesota Thursday. We had 10 inches of safe ice and put the wheel house out and stayed over night. Started at 7am Thursday and had 15 nice walleyes right away all sizes from 15-20 inches. Fishing in 8 feet using Lindy rattl'n flyer spoons, green and red was the ticket using minnow tails instead of the heads, give it a try you might like what you find out! That night we had the clicker inside and pulled up 57 eyes from 4pm-3am Friday morning. It was a great first trip out!
