Slam Dunkin

Dunkin it was they key. Was pretty neat to spend the Sunday on the water and around the scenes of the OBN with Carey Miller who was getting a lot of video footage of blast off and the weigh-in. Since we couldn't fish the Saturday we decided to just fish the sunday and weigh our bag to see how we did against the other anglers competing this weekend. It was a slow bite but a good bite. we had 3 fish of 3lbs+ size to them and 2 just under 3... we estimated that we had about a 13lbs bag and we did well against everyone else competing that day. It was the first time i've dunked and fished that way through the pockets of the weed beds that slow. Like i mean slooooow. We had a one ounce jig head on the texas rigged whatever we decided to throw, creature bates, imperium craws, really anything. I think the key was dead sticking the bait, feeling bottom and having a soft enough bait for the pigs to hold onto before the hook set! Great new style of patient weed dunkin I learned and will put it to good use next year! Hope it wasn't my last fishing adventure of the year as I get back into my season but the ice fishing will be a treat this year with lots of video ideas and a deadly Imperium 'The Ace' bait that the Pickrell on the bay are gunna love!
